H.H. Pope Shenouda Elevates Fr. Arsanios B. Ragheb to the Rank of Hegumen
September 1, 2003 CEDAR GROVE, NJ (USA) -- On his day of departure from his trip to the United States, H.H. Pope Shenouda III elevated seven Coptic priests to the rank of Hegumen. The ordination was held in the Archdiocese of North America at Cedar Grove, NJ at 8:30 am during the Divine Liturgy. Also blessing the ordination were H.G. Bishop Anthony of Ireland, Scotland and North-East England and H.G. Bishop David, General Bishop of the Archdiocese of North America. Those elevated to the rank of hegumen were: Fr. Rafail Guirguis (Cherry Hill, New Jersey), Fr. Takla Azmy (Seattle, Washington), Fr. Bishoy Mikhail (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), Fr. Arsanios Ragheb (Charlotte, North Carolina), Fr. Roweis Morcos (Greenville, South Carolina), Fr. Sarabamone Zaki (Englewood, Colorado), Fr. Abraam Sleman (Jersey City, New Jersey).
